in the song there are references to kendrick's control verse! so he did the song in the last 2 weeks..maybe, as usual, when the album was done..30 minutes to write these verses..just to have a fist single..but i think album will be another thing..

I just feel that the overall sound was wasted on this one... could have went down much better and was hoping it would. Definitely going to follow MMLP2 though, that's for sure. Not getting too hyped for it.

I hope the album won't be full of rock... if that's the case I don't understand why he called it MMLP2.

I get that, though I suggest you give this a read if you're haveing concerns about it being too 'rock-ish'

Those of you worried about the rock influence are over reacting, I think. The Eminem Show was very heavily rock influenced, and the production on The Marshall Mathers LP also pulls from that realm. These are his prime works, and neither came out sounding like a Linkin Park album due to the rock influence. Rick tends to strip things down, not make them overbearing.

Survival isn't a reliable indication of the direction of production, because it was pumped up for the purpose of the COD game. The original song sounded very different.
