And fuck all that shit if someone gets down on people calling Relapse equal to SSLP, and than bitching and moaning about "respect others opinions". If you say Relapse was a weak album or you prefer even the angry aggressive shouting Eminem on Recovery, it's blasphemy, and you're basically told to fuck off and leave the forum. So stop with the double standards people.
Slim Shady LP was something original and had barely any weak songs.
We have people calling Relapse a near classic and it has fucking My Mom, Bagpipes From Baghdad, We Made You on it. Good god, this place isn't for Eminem stans, it's Relapse stans, it really is. Relapse was Em coming with some good rhyme schemes, a horrific accent that worked on some songs but not most, and also an Em that lacked luster and emotion in his music. If anything, Underground with it's flaws is probably the closest thing to sounding like the old Eminem on the whole album.
Ems never made a completely whack album. Even Encore had some good records on it, but to say that Relapse or Recovery came remotely close to any of his first 3 is ridiculous IMHO. And I don't even rate SSLP as highly as MMLP or TES.
It's also funny people think the general consensus on here is the general consensus with fans or hip hop listeners, and its not. The general consensus on here is that Berzerk is great or very good, while away from this site it's probably 50% absolutely hate it, 20% like it, and 30% are like whatever the fuck, I just hope the album is better.
I mean we have people on here who think you need to sit back and analyze every single line in a song to know if you like it. If you find yourself having to find reasons to like a song, it's probably not too great.
