There are only 2 generally accepted classic albums- MMLP and TES. Even the SSLP while being a dope ass major label debut album isn't a classic. Does Em have what it takes to make another classic- I don't know, it's definitely possible. The best signs that this will be a classic are the ones from the interview. He had his characteristic serious jokes such as "looking forward to nothing". Also I don't know if anyone has noticed, but on the berzerk video, there are many clips that are played backwards which likely signifies that he went back to the early days of rap for this song; however, it's very possible that this also means that Em is going back to his MMLP mindset (subliminal messaging!?).
Em has 3. Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP, Eminem Show.
Nas has 2. Illmatic, It Was Written.
Jay has 2-3. Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint, Black Album.
Pac has 3. Me Against the World, All Eyez On Me, 7 Day Theory.
Rakim had 3 with Eric B. Paid In Full, Follow the Leader, Let the Rhythm Hit Em.
Kendrick has 2 already, Section.80 and GKMC
Kanye has 1, MBDTF

Kill You wrote:GKMC is a classic for it's impact and universal acclaim, alone. We call SSLP a classic and it was his first studio album.

No one named SSLP a classic in its first year and the same goes with most debut albums, especially illmatic, Pacs albums, RD, Blueprint etc
GKMC is an amazing album I love it but give it a few more years to age before calling it a classic imo

I was predicting Section.80 and GKMC to be classics in about 10 years, and around 10 years from now most people to recognize mbdtf to be Kanye's only classic
What about Tech? Of course none of his albums will ever be classics to the general public because he isn't popular enough and probably never will be, but what about real Hip Hop heads 5-8 years from now?

Anghellic, that's it. Horrorcore classic hands down.

It takes time more an album to be a classic and there's no other way around it.
