Just today I was thinking about Eminem's career in class and it occurred to me that his comeback/return was completely unnecessary.
I understand he LOVES the rap game (much more than you and I) but when he already has three classics under his belt, what's the point of trying to strive for more? He's done what no other rap artist has done before.
He's a legend, in every aspect of the word. He cannot be beat by any of the upcoming rappers, so what's there to prove? I understand why he came back after Encore, to prove that he was still on-par with his first three albums, but was it imperative that he also release Recovery, and then MMLP 2?
If he was smart, he would have come out with MMLP 2 first, instead of Relapse.
Just imagine, Slim's fire diminishes for a years but then suddenly...without a single CLUE...he comes back and releases MMLP 2.
