I don't think many people have a problem with Bruno. Just that his light and bluesy pop sound didn't mash with Em and Royce right.

I love Jamie N Commons and I love Eminem, but they might not mash right on a record. It's how it goes.
My Top 5 (in no order)-

Eminem
Big l
Biggie Smalls
Royce Da 5'9"
Jigga

I just think the pairing was off. You have a group called Bad Meets Evil, every other song on the album is raw. It felt out of place. Maybe as a bonus track or something, but it killed the vibe for me being in the middle of the album.

I don't mind Bruno Mars as an artist. I'm not one of those people that flip any time Em collabs with a pop act. In fact, if I could pick one artist for Em to work with right now, it would be Lana Del Rey. Born To Die is incredible, she's dark and edgy, has a versatile voice. If Em collabed with her I would be hospitalized after collapsing from sheer shock.

Having said that, some pop collabs work, some don't, which is why I fear Headlights.

Subpar production, corny punchlines, inconsistency throughout it.

This pretty much. And rapid/double time rapping.

I don't understand why people think Em will keep using it throughout the album, he did it in Rap God because of the title itself, rap god, he rapped in different flows throughout the song just so he could show can can rap in different ways, he executed it perfectly honestly.

Let's take the positives out of MMLP2,

Berzerk, a homage to old school hip hop. I like the motive of the song and the video that accompanies it is very fun. Better than Survival's and a lot of other Rap videos this year. The fact that the buzz for this album or the leak for this album is absolutely immense. Then there's Rap God. Need I say more?

I don't think most of us are intentionally nitpicking. I think most of us grew up on Em and are used to his flawlessness early on in his career.

I'm not one of those people who hates on everything he does nowadays. Or I'm one of those people that thinks anything after TES is garbage. Actually, I loved Recovery and bump it like every week or every few weeks and it still sounds fresh to me.

I don't mind change in sound, change in flow, change in subject matter -- but there's no denying that there are chinks in his armor now from a lyrical standpoint.

Butt police/rear rear rear is simply not as sharp as stuff he's written before.

I don't mind Rihanna collabs, I don't mind outside production, I don't mind female hooks. So long as his lines are sharp.

I think we're entitled to have concerns in that respect given some of his recent stuff post Recovery.

Corny punchlines are also a very real concern I have.

But Rap God showed promise. Stuff like massacre/mass occur was pretty good.

No it wasn't. It was horrible. You are not allowed to put something like that in a song called Rap God :facepalm
