I think TES is his best all-round album but can also agree it doesn't quite feel like a classic in a weird way too, but weirdly I think it's because the music has aged exceptionally... even though we know the songs so profoundly, something about the album, internally, feels kinda fresh and not like this fine-wine classic art piece.
Also prolly because it's so personal and realistic. SSLP and MMLP are both conceptual so they feel more like works of fiction which cement themselves as classic works in comparison to something very serious and open.
