Im disappointed. I know i'll catch shit on here.....but i feel like this is his weakest release since Re Up tbh......

Shady XV is pretty dope, hes spittin on this. Funny stuff.

Psychopathic Killer is dope till Em comes in with that flow yet again, god damn he needs to stop that flow hes been doing lately.

Die Alone is shit. Terrible beat. Terrible hook. That flow again.

Vegas.......hmmmm a hot fucking mess.

Yall Ready Know is dope, raw hip hop. But wasnt Em.

Guts Over Fear isnt terrible but beat and hook are meh whatever. Only Ems 2nd verse is good imo.

Down is pretty dope the hook us whatever though. Yela.

Bane is absolutely terrible. D12 is dead.

Fine Line is pretty good. His flow is again that same one but this beat sounds better, this one is good.

Twisted...done with em singing. Yelas good on this though. Skylar is shit.

Right For Me is meh. Em again with that flow.

Detroit vs Everybody was good till Em and Danny came in.

Shady XV, Fine Line......only Em tracks that im really fucking with. BIG LET DOWN after HTS and MMLP2. Relapse and Recivery were much better too imo. He needs to stop with that fucking say a million words in every line flow. Chill out and ride the beat naturally.

Even from 2013.......what happened to the Em we heard on Bad Guy, Groundhog Day, Baby, Brainless, Live Game 3rd verse, Evil Twin, etc????

Big time fan but sounds like a regress man. Im sorry guys.

this album is wack imo
Em beats aren't as good as they used to be and his new flow is completely shit
he should stop focusing on multis that much and start focusing on riding the beat
nowadays you can take away the beats cuz em doesn't even need it

His beats were on point.
Fuck top five, bitch, I'm top four
And that includes Biggie and Pac, whore
And I got an Evil Twin
So who the fuck do you think that third and that fourth spot's for?

I thought Em really had found something with HTS and MMLP2.....damn man

His production doesnt sound too great on here either. Theres a couple exceptions. Shady XV and Fine Line are 8/10 songs and up. But the rest.....no way im sorry

If i could tell Em one thing its this.....sometimes less is more man. Forget his stuff from 1997-2003....hes NEVER GONNA BE THAT EM AGAIN. Theres been glimpses but he'll never match that perfection. But hes fully capable of the dope stuff from 2009-2013.....idk what hes thinking lately though.

First time since Re Up i felt very disappointed hearing new Em. Theres nothing on here as good as No Apologies either. I was disappointed hearing Relapse but it dud grow on me and i wasnt nearly as disappointed as im feeling right now with this.

This feels like Em took 4 steps forward and 5 steps back.

The fast, cram as many words as you can, flow is the reason these songs don't have much of a replay value. You can't follow it, rap along. You struggle to even comprehend what is being said. When you read the lyrics at your own pace it's nice, but it's sonically annoying at times. Sometimes it works, but I'd prefer a simple flow where you can follow every word and learn it and rap along with it.

That said, time to play Vegas again

vegas sounds like a hot mess....perhaps that will be the one to grow on me.

Its not an enjoyable listen, most of these songs.

After hearing the majority of mmlp2 i thought Em was really really onto something and sounded his best since 02. Hearing this shit.....i dont think this is anywhere near as good as REL, REC, HTS, MMLP2.

Honestly, can't really get into em's psychopath verse or right for me.

I find his flow difficult to enjoy on parts of this. There's no rhythm, no regularity and you can't work out where the line ends and the next one starts. You can't anticipate anything.

It's musically not satisfying, even if there's lots of rhymes. You can't bob your head to it.

Having said that, Fine Line is a great song and I'm enjoying Twisted, I like that it's different. The bit at the start of Vegas when that flow goes on and on and on is great. Lose yourself demo is golden.

On another note, Yela is building up nicely here, high hopes for Love Story

I agree it's hard to catch up with what he's saying especially when english isn't your first language. It feels like my mind is going to explode.

However, he's at that point where he wants to have fun. He's a technical beast so... I won't listen to those song as much as the others (except Vegas, that song is fire) but it's not because they are bad.

WARNING: Massive Rant

Okay so I'm posting this fully knowing the risk that I will potentially come off as a butthurt faggot.

I've been on this site since 2008, had an account but it signed me out and I forgot the password so had to make a new account in 2011. I mostly lurk, and rarely post or comment. I love this site because it has the news on anything Eminem related almost immediately, but fucking hate the site because of all the retarded so called "Stans" that have no idea what the fuck they want. So for once, I'm going to give my opinion.

I feel like most of you motherfuckers have no clue what you want. You complain when he sounds too pop or mainstream, then complain when he just spits raw fire; you complain that he isn't his old self then when he puts on his "old school voice" and raps about raping pop stars and shit you say that he's trying too hard to be his old self. Make up your mind you fucking autists. (Obviously not everyone on this site is like this so don't take offense at this rant if you're one of the normal one's who just enjoy music and know what you like.)

Me personally, and this will sound self-righteous probably, but I'm the biggest Eminem fan I know. Since I was 8, I make my best effort to memorize every song, I know everything about him, I've seen him in concert three times, I dye my hair every year (see avatar), basically my whole way of life is influenced by growing up obsessed with Eminem, as gay as this sounds. In fact, the only person I've seen who is probably more of an Eminem fan is that kid who dresses like him and physically tries to look like him and has a crazy collection of Eminem shit, Zolt Shady or some shit. But that's just like an unnatural obsession, like life exists man.

Anyway, although I'm obsessed and basically can enjoy any one of Eminem songs, even the admittedly terrible ones, I'm not biased when it comes to forming an opinion of shit he puts out. But I feel like people don't get how crazily talented this dude is when it comes to rapping. People say that he's not as good as he was during 1999-2003, I would disagree, I would say he's definitely different, but just as good and in fact has made even improvements in some areas. Clearly there were rough patches where he didn't live up to what he's capable of. But in my opinion, and I've heard this before on this site, but I believe that this is his second prime (meaning MMLP2-now)

Lyrically, he's ridiculous. I feel like people don't appreciate how much rhyming this dude is doing. Even in the mainstream "pop" song with punchingbagcunt Rihanna he's fire. Whether you like the song or not, the guy rhymes "Rumpelstiltskin in a hay stack" the entire last verse. That's fucking crazy. Same with Guts over Fear keeping the same rhyme scheme, and even Legacy. That takes skill to keep one rhyme scheme for so long and make sense. He's using massive amounts of multis and double entendres and his punchlines are getting better and better. And in Shady XV he's keeping this crazy lyricism while revisiting the old shit of bashing celebrities and rapping about crazy shit. That one line "Set your daughter on fire with a soldering iron" gave me goose bumps and brought me back to "If I Get Locked Up Tonight." "I'll set a fucking girl on fire with a curling iron."

So I don't know why I wrote this and I highly doubt too many people will read this whole thing, but I really think that Eminem is in his second prime, he's been putting out nothing but straight fire, he didn't lose his skill, he's hungry again, and I really hope this continues. So people really need to decide what they like and don't like and stop bitching and just enjoy the music and just appreciate that he's still putting out music just because he loves it even though he could've retired after his second album.

TL;DR Go fuck yourselves.
CALLED IT!

Ok I've listened to the album a few times now and I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed... and I'm usually easily pleased.

Concentrating on just Em, it's as if he's trying to be way too technical for his own good. It's starting to have a negative effect on his music. Everything just always feel so fast and difficult to understand. It takes about 10 listens before you take in everything he says in the song. I really wish he'd do more hooks, my favourite song was Vegas and its mostly down to him on the chorus. :(
But what am I gonna do when the rage is gone and the lights go out in that trailer park?
