50 Cent Album Gets Bumped Yet Again

Postby jaxthemc » Jul 18th, '07, 03:35

Will Curtis Hanson’s self-titled release Curtis ever see the light of day? Fans are no doubt beginning to wonder.

According to Billboard, 50’s follow-up to 2005’s The Massacre was originally slated for a June 26 release, but then got bumped to Sept. 4. Now, it’s being delayed yet another week, and the new proposed date is Sept. 11.

Sounds like the worst decision he’s made since that time he tried to convince the world he could act. Perhaps putting it off another week (or better yet, gasp, sticking to a deadline!) wouldn’t be a bad idea.

One possible reason for the procrastination is that two singles from Curtis, “Amusement Park” and “Straight to the Bank,” have failed to leave a lasting impression on the radio. It would certainly explain why he wants more time to work on the tracks, but there’s no way to know for sure.

Curtis features production from Dr. Dre, Eminem and Timbaland, plus guest appearances by Eminem, Akon, Justin Timberlake and Mary J. Blige, among others. Hang tight--with any luck, you just might hear this album at some point in your lifetime.

He's afraid that shit is gonna flop (I mean that he won't sell as much as The Massacre) I predict that it will sell 2-4 million records (Still not bad) But I gotta admit that I'm feelin' that " I Get Money" song he brings it back to Get Rich or Die Tryin' days

no its not if it was then all shady artists would be as big as 50 which is not true. its because he also has dre behind him aswell and thats 2 big labels to be on and alot of promotional $dollers$ and once TV hears about someone signed to 2 of the biggest rappers they play it

the reason not all shady recod imployes or w.e you want to call them havnt done as good as 50 is bc, if you remember correctly they never had any big songs like 50 did, and way back when eminem and 50 admitted that his famous in da club song was a D12 song but they couldnt find a way to make it work with 6 people so they gave it to 50 and also dre said that 40% of the grodt album was em or dre influnced/ done by and that is all -the singles about.... 50 out to just stick to actn wich he sucks at too but not continue to ruin the rap game...
