Will Curtis Hanson’s self-titled release Curtis ever see the light of day? Fans are no doubt beginning to wonder.
According to Billboard, 50’s follow-up to 2005’s The Massacre was originally slated for a June 26 release, but then got bumped to Sept. 4. Now, it’s being delayed yet another week, and the new proposed date is Sept. 11.
Sounds like the worst decision he’s made since that time he tried to convince the world he could act. Perhaps putting it off another week (or better yet, gasp, sticking to a deadline!) wouldn’t be a bad idea.
One possible reason for the procrastination is that two singles from Curtis, “Amusement Park” and “Straight to the Bank,” have failed to leave a lasting impression on the radio. It would certainly explain why he wants more time to work on the tracks, but there’s no way to know for sure.
Curtis features production from Dr. Dre, Eminem and Timbaland, plus guest appearances by Eminem, Akon, Justin Timberlake and Mary J. Blige, among others. Hang tight--with any luck, you just might hear this album at some point in your lifetime.
