True apart from the heart bit.
lmao it's weird how people associate emotion with hearts when in reality your heart is just a big fat ugly vessel that pumps blood around your body.
It's all in your brain. So Proof lives on in his brain, his memories, conceptual emotions etc. Not his heart.
Why wouldn't you associate emotions with your heart??
It's a metaphor...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broken_heartAlso, it's known as a medical term called 'broken-heart syndrome':
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takotsubo_cardiomyopathyYour in so much grief and pain that you go into heart failure... Literally.
Your heart pumps the blood in your body.
Without your heart working properly, you can die.
If your heart stops, you DIE.
That's where the metaphor "broken heart" comes from.
Not only is it a medical term, its a metaphor for the pain you feel in your chest during grief.
So much grief makes you wanna die, or make you feel like you wanna die.
It's also a simile... "My life resembles, and in other words IS LIKE, a broken heart."
