The reason behind no Proof tribute on Relapse

So we can no put to rest why there is no Proof tribute on this CD. But still I have to think of maybe one day there will be a song for him, perhaps on the D12 Album. I just feel Em would want a whole track to express himself and not be limited to just a verse on a collab. track. Either way, this make me feel for Em, I couldn't imagine the stuff he went through.

think about it like this...at a funeral you say a couple of sentences or maybe a paragraph to say how much you loved that person...but how you really felt couldnt be expressed its in your heart and unspoken...rest in peace Big Proof

One of the things might be that he was doing the shit by himself, alot of pressure on his shoulders. Maybe with D12, 4 people that feel his pain as much, behind him, might help with his confidence in his material. Either way i respect him, if he doesn't then that's cool and he's been so mature and true to the shit, if he does, we get maybe the deepest shit he's ever done.

True apart from the heart bit.

lmao it's weird how people associate emotion with hearts when in reality your heart is just a big fat ugly vessel that pumps blood around your body.

It's all in your brain. So Proof lives on in his brain, his memories, conceptual emotions etc. Not his heart.

Why wouldn't you associate emotions with your heart??
It's a metaphor... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broken_heart

Also, it's known as a medical term called 'broken-heart syndrome':
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Takotsubo_cardiomyopathy
Your in so much grief and pain that you go into heart failure... Literally.

Your heart pumps the blood in your body.
Without your heart working properly, you can die.
If your heart stops, you DIE.
That's where the metaphor "broken heart" comes from.
Not only is it a medical term, its a metaphor for the pain you feel in your chest during grief.
So much grief makes you wanna die, or make you feel like you wanna die.

It's also a simile... "My life resembles, and in other words IS LIKE, a broken heart."

If my best friend died I'd probably NEVER be able to write a track worthy of them, so I completely understood when I read that.

what i'm happy about.. think about this guys

most rappers when someone close dies to them, their fans gets hyped up for their tribute... so the rappers then do it because they know it'll be big, ya digg? it'll sell really well.. and people just make the tribute for the money

so i'm real happy eminem isn't doing it just because we all want it and will pay for it.

agree :y: ..but it would be great to hear those songs..he said those songs he made back then weren't up to his standards and not good enough for proof..and we know that 3 songs from that period are beautiful, and bonus tracks..those are songs with the best reception

Beautiful is apparently from before The Re-Up since he wrote it in 2005. But do you guys really think the bonus tracks are that old? Maybe its just me but I would say 2007 at the earliest.

Good post :y:
"Proof, No matter how much time passes, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. If it weren't for you, I would not be where I am today and we both know it. I tried to write song for you but nothing was good enough, so I'm dedicating them all to you-and you'd be happy to know that I spazzed out on 'em gain!I know you wouldn't have it any other way! Fuck 'em all--let's get 'em!
P.S. I'm sober now, I know you'd be proud. I love you Doody, I'll never forget you. Love, Doody "
