It's a sneak preview of what's coming for Relapse 2.

Eminem confirmed with an interview with a German TV Show that the particular track "Careful What You Wish For" was originally slated to replace "Crack a Bottle" on his Relapse album, but the record label thought otherwise. After all, "Crack a Bottle" was No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 and was one of Eminem's highest selling singles. So it was included in the album.

Eminem later comfirmed with various publications throughout Europe that "Careful What You Wish For" was "really similar to what fans can expect on my follow-up record. The whole feel of that track reminds me of the recording sessions I had with Dre in Miami towards the last 4 months we were there."

In a later interview with Tim Westwood, Eminem did confirm that Relapse 2 would "definitely come out later this year. I mean, the whole feel of my next record kinda reminds of the MMLP times, ya know what I'm saying? I mean, with the tracks on there and all, I really think that this is what tons of people have been waiting for. But we'll just have to wait and see, don't we?"

When asked about the release date of Relapse 2, Eminem said, "It's kinda complicated now with Dre's and 50's records comin' out this year, but it's gonna work out. *laughs* This year is gonna be crazy for the industry. *laughs again*"

That's because he never did. Careful What You Wish For was recorded during his none sober days (in 2007 = 1999+8). And he said the only track he liked enough to put on the album from that period was Beautiful

Eminemnow wrote:Yeah, "Be Careful What You Wish For" is obviously from his drug days.

Because in the song he says "Eight years later I'm still at, a sleeping pill addict".

Not only does he say he's an addict but he says eight years later. 1999 + 8 = 2007.

You can also tell cuz' like he said, his flow and everything is really slow.

But it definitely should of replaced CAB. Would of fit way better. CAB ruins part of Relapse's legacy for me. Stupid fucking song. It's 50 that ruins it really.

Yea CAB is a wack song it broke a download record because thats the wack type of music kids listen to these days a perfect example is wayne

"It's amazing that the amount of news that happens in the world every day always just exactly fits the newspaper."

My basic disk will make you take a razor to your wrist
Make you satanistic
Make you take the pistol to your face
N place the clip N cock it back
N let it go until your brains are rippin out your skull so bad
To sew you back would be a waste of stitches

If Em changed up the chorus and kicked off 50 CAB would've been dope.

Yeah, I don't get why CAB is hated on so much. Sure, 50's verse sucked but that's only 1/3 of the song.

I thought the hook was tight (it was a bit poppy but better than "Bagpipes from Bahgdad..when will it cease" or whatever the fuck he says lazily).

And Em's multi's and flow were amazing - and he didn't need a stupid accent to do it (like in 85% of Relapse).

Crack a Bottle was not whack. End of story.

If you doubt me, how do you explain the tremendous success it recieved as a single?

cause people are stupid.

no more like it was easy to sing a long to and dance along to... while we rap fans tend to analyze rap lyrics, most music listeners listen to dance and follow along, can anyone here rap along and dance to 3 AM? I think not.

Crack a Bottle has a dope beat. Maybe 50's verse was not up there with Dre's and Eminem's, but that's because Eminem wrote Dre's verse so no one could beat them :D

Eminem kills anyone on features.
