I know what you mean man, he used to have the sickest wit and punchlines. There were some good ones on Relapse but nothing to match what he's done in the past.

Ichiurto wrote:This is what made me a fan of his. He always had some funny shit to say. Take the:
"Throw a stroller at you...With a baby in it" line. When he comes with the "with a baby in it" it's so simple, but it cracks you up.
He doesn't have that anymore. He doesn't have punchlines, he doesn't use metaphors/similes, or anything. This is why he is very average, and the only reason he is even average despite the wack accent, is because he can flow his ass off.
He just rhymes multi-syllables, and that is it, and most of the time, his multi's don't even make sense. Take the overrated garbage Underground song. It's complete trash.

but I got a stong feeling that relapse 2 will have allot of them. just look at his late freestyles. they all have ironic/wordplay punches in them.

slimsoxshady wrote:I always thought that Eminem's greatest qualities were imagery and the never ending rhyme. He's never had great metaphors or great wordplay. Not for one second would I ever consider him a punchline rapper and most of his punchlines are pretty weak when you compare to other rappers out.
