You're talking about a white guy who's conquered everything there is to conquer in hip hop. Then he comes back and wins all the fan vote contests again. Nas hasn't been relevant since Stillmatic. So as far as impact on hip hop, it's not even that close.

I would say they are about on the same level lyrically. They are both incredible lyricists, yet very different lyricists. They can't really be compared as artists. I mean they can, but they have very very different subject matter

Whether you vote Eminem or Nas depends a lot on your upbringing.

Ghetto kids will completely get Nas and love him, and people who have grown up relatively normally, being fucked with will identify more with Eminem.

Both artists are completely different, it is stupid to compare them.

And to anyone saying Nas isn't as good as Eminem, you must be smoking something.

Evidence?... Or are you just a fucking Stan.

Word. It's one of the most creative lyrical hip hop songs ever. Don't bother saying I'm wrong if you never listened to the track. If you did, you would agree.

313 wrote:This is stupid topic. We have winner in the best raper alive and the best raper of all time.
And Eminem is most selling raper of all time.
So all you who denied that Eminem is a legend you are wrong.

Eminem>Nas

As KRS-One said, when the fuck did people use sales to judge an artist's status in the hip hop hierarchy? Hip Hop is seriously dying... And what do you mean if we don't think that Eminem is the best, we're wrong? Go listen to other hip hop besides him and come back, dumbass.

BILI wrote:2Pac shits on both of them
End of story :D

Are you fucking kidding me? 2Pac does not come close to SHITTING on Nas. Nas is more lyrical in terms of complex rhymes. 2Pac is more efficient in conveying his emotions and thoughts. Don't you say one shits on the other. That's just fucking bullshit.

slimsoxshady wrote:You're talking about a white guy who's conquered everything there is to conquer in hip hop. Then he comes back and wins all the fan vote contests again. Nas hasn't been relevant since Stillmatic. So as far as impact on hip hop, it's not even that close.

What did he conquer? Tell me, seriously. Don't use sales. Rakim sells one of the least and he is one of the most talented MC's ever. Don't even say he isn't if you never listened to Paid in Full or Follow the Leader with Eric B. Vibe's "Best Rapper Alive" contest means shit. Most voters don't know hip hop like you. Did you just say Nas makes less impact on hip hop than Eminem? Who made Illmatic? And as far as Nas disappearing from hip hop since Stillmatic, tell me: do you know what the fuck is God's Son and the underrated Street's Disciple? I bet you never gave Stillmatic a listen. You just judge him on the opinions of other Eminem dickriders in this forum. So before you say something so blunt, ACTUALLY COP A NAS ALBUM. Wow. I can't believe some Stans here.

Sac_JB. You are the fucking most annoying, least educated dickriding Stan out of all these people. You think Eminem is a better lyricist than Nas? FUCKING LISTEN TO ILLMATIC, MORON. Eminem ADMITS he is WORSE than NASm fucking faggot. Fuck YOU, Sac_JB. You never touched any song but Eminem's huh? Seriously, get the fuck out of here with your bullshit comments.

_SacJB wrote:yes. i have the greatest hits one. he uses lots of simle words lots of times and also repeats lots of words. your saying em is an inferior lyracist to nas?????

... Get Illmatic. Don't get Greatest Hits, you moron. Nas is a better lyricist. Nas has way better beats. End of story. 90% of the hood would probably agree Nas is more flexible with his words.

You cannot possibly put an artist in your top 5 without litsening to Nas enough. Wow. Before you say Illmatic is the best, please say why. Don't just say it's better lyrically. You guys SERIOUSLY need to listen to Illmatic. Don't just repeat what you hear from other people. And no, TES is not close to Reasonable Doubt. TES is great. RD is classic. When I say classic, I mean, universally agreed on classic. Not fan classic. If Jay-Z counted his fan classics, he would have 5 maybe.

They have different styles. Please, never make a retarded topic like this again. Reading Eminem-dickriding comments gets me really pissed about the ignorance of Stans.

First off, I have listened to most of nas' albums, i have them all downloaded and from time to time i do play his tracks.. And stop telling people that they don't know enough or that they need to listen to the album again, im thinking you should shut the fuck up and listen to Em's TES and SSLP again, goto a hip hop forum and ask them if any of Em's albums are classics and i assure you they will mention either one of the 2 or both and some might even mention MMLP

Theirs a difference between YOUR top 5 and an overall top 5, one is opinion and one is truth. I have listened to enough Nas to know he is an amazing rapper, i just dont prefer his rapping because it gets boring quickly.. Its just a personal thing i guess but whatever..

I'm afraid if you google best rap albums and go to their lists, MMLP will RARELY be in their top 10. Maybe once or twice. MMLP does not even deserve to be in top 50, if you really listened to hip hop. Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul is better than MMLP in general. SSLP is around MMLP's level, basically, but it's even included in top lists LESS. The Eminem Show is not in top 200 rap albums, no matter how much you like it. It's a fact. And if you listened to Nas enough to know he is an amazing rapper, you would NOT say his rapping gets boring easily. Seriously.
