I think he was at his peak right after MMLP and right before he got arrested. He wrote a couple of the best songs from TES then, including Sing For the Moment which is one of his best songs ever, then when he got arrested he slowly started declining. But now he's slowely rising back up again.

he made Soldier, Say Goodbye Hollywood, Cleaning Out My Closet, My Dad's Gone Crazy since his arrest. all good songs!

& he wrote LOSE YOURSELF after his arrest! his best song, in my opinion.
