What are people's thought on what Dr. Dre has meant to Eminem's career to this point, and in the future. It gets mentioned here and there in other threads, but why not have its own topic. Someone had even gone as far to say Eminem is a better overall producer than Dr. Dre (rapper, writer YES...producer HELL NO).
I think that Dre deserves a great deal of credit for turning Eminem into a huge star by providing him with the chance of a lifetime (signing him to Aftermath). It's not like Em has turned his back on Dre ever, so I dont know why people would hate on him.
Sure, I am all for Eminem going in a "new direction" with the next album, but that doesn't mean I didnt like the Dr. Dre beats on Relapse. I think that without the power of some of those beats, the songs wouldn't be what they are (Insane, Bagpipes, Hello, Stay Wide Awake, Deja Vu)..come on get real. The entire selection of beats could be listed there, because it is all massive production.
What are other opinions?
