Thats the true spirit of hip-hop
exactly. but hey who knows. in 10 years, shit even 5 years, it could be totally evolved. (wishfull thinking because i feel rap is being destroyed these days)
rakim's new album is fucking great and more people have listened to lil wayne's no ceilings. just sad.
Yeah, I just feel hip-hops best days are behind it. Now you have rappers singing to girls like its the done thing. All the GOATs are getting old; Jay Z getting love for his materialism and putting pop all over his album; ppl focusing more on dance moves and skanky legs; Gucci mane simple lyrics and dope beat is whats hot in the streets. I just think that there is no turning back and shit isnt gonna get better.

KaRtLiDgE wrote:okay well agree to disagree about em and rakim. but you are totally right about em being white. you could also say he spit with more emotion in his voice than anyone has ever heard. at the cyphers and things like that, i just think thats people stepping up thier games cuz him being there.
well have to wait and see what he can do with rap for the future. So many untalented rappers rapping about the same things with horrible pre-school rhymes. Em will be looked down on 20 years from now if rap declined under his watch. yea i know he was abscent from rap the for 4 years, but still.
if anything, you could say jay-z changed the game more than em, but in my opinion for the worse. i cant believe hes still talking about selling drugs and money. but he also adds now how great he thinks he is.

EminemIVLife wrote:Agree (X-Ray), it really does seem like there is a plan to re-program this new generation into homos. Weaken every1's moral strength, desensitise them for whatever the future has to offer. Sadly, alot of us are going to be a part of this generation
That sucks man. But fuck tagging along, I'll die explaining how wack this new generation of mainstream is if I have to.

that's what he raps about, just like the gay ass shit Em raps about

Mr.P wrote:Music is and will always be about personal opinions, so when I say Eminem is the best rapper. He is, to me. But it’s not like there is no one that comes close to him, so I agree that people shouldn’t post an opinion on someone before actually listening to that person. If you can’t listen to another artist because you feel like you have to be loyal to Em. You’re missing out on a lot of great music. And beef has always been a part of hip hop, it keeps artists on their toes and they do it to keep it interesting. Most of the time it’s nothing personal at all, it’s just to keep us happy. ofc we are supposed to take sides and argue on why the one we like are the best one in the beef, but for real people got to listen to both sides before saying who killed who. You can’t just read that someone dissed Em, and when he responds say "Em killed him" when you haven’t even listened to the other diss. That’s not a real beef, even if you are a fan of one of the guys in the beef, you should be able to put that aside and judge the whole thing by listening to both songs as not a fan of neither. Listen to the lyrics then say who won. When Em was battling coming up, people made noise for the person who had the best lyrics against the other one. Didn’t matter what the names where, that’s when it was a real competition. So doesn’t matter what the names are, give both sides a listen before you judge. All this stupid shit about Canibus being more lyrical than Em and vice versa doesn’t mean shit now, until Em responds this is not a beef. And if it becomes a beef, who has done what before isn’t relevant. The diss tracks they throw against each other are the only thing that matters. Because the battle is now, not what song Em did some years ago that proves he’s better than him. You could bring up the old feud, but imo none of them really put real effort into that one.

KaRtLiDgE wrote:If em doesn't respond, canibus might diss him again using that against him and calling him pussy and people will say em never responded to canibus but responded to mariah. If em does respond, it will have the most views on youtube and tons of downloads and buzz. canibus will fire back, em will fire back again, canibus puts out a commercial type album and sells 100k plus first week. I wish it was how u said, but those days are gone.

Em shouldn't respond and doesn't need to, that's all.

Wrong. Canibus isn't gaining any attention NOW. But if Em responded, Canibus will gain some attention for sure. He knows he can't gain buzz by himself, that's why he has to put D12's pointless verses in there so people will pay attention. Lame.
And that's not even the main point. The point is : It's over. The beef was 7 years old late. It's already stale. Get over it.
And Em may throw some bars at Bis in a song on R2 or Refill just to make fun. But that's it.

and its not like he will get stratospherically boosted by an Em diss. Benzino got all that attention and he still went bankrupt remember ?
